You will never make the grade by Michael Fama | PB
Humorous tales of a Tasmanian cop's career
This is not your regulation autobiography of a copper. Yes, it touches on a few serious events, such as the 1996 Port Arthur massacre where the author’s friend was shot dead protecting people.
Mainly, however, it describes, anecdotally and often humorously, the inside story of 34 years in Tasmania Police. There are times of heartfelt loss, there are insights into the normalities and abnormalities of human nature, and there is entertainment and laughter.
For a copper, Michael Fama makes a great storyteller. And for a storyteller, a copper’s life offers abundant material.
