No Bridge Too Far by Karen Crawford with Peter Eversham | PB
The seafaring and other exploits of an unconventional Tasmanian.
Peter Eversham’s life story parallels over half a century of Tasmania’s maritime history. During his time in the maritime industry Peter saw many changes, from ketches trading across Bass Strait, to big modern tankers and seismic survey vessels operating all over the world.
Nothing has ever been out of reach for Peter. He’s had a life-long love of the sea and his maritime career has taken him from deck boy on ketches to master mariner on some of the largest ships in the world. Between bouts at sea he took up professional cycling, opened a restaurant, ran a service station, trained and raced greyhounds and trotters, operated an antiques shop and became the licensee of a hotel.
Compassionate, brave, unerringly optimistic and funny, Peter is one of Tasmania’s unforgettable characters.
