Birdsong - Bruny Island Environmental Network | Hardback
A celebration of Bruny Island Birds
Birdsong showcases the best of the visual art and literary exhibitions from the 2010 and 2012 Bruny Island Bird Festivals. It features outstanding contributions from Bruny Island residents as well as other Tasmanian thinkers, poets, environmentalists, photographers and visual artists including Bob Brown, Pete Hay, Helen Barnard, Chris Tzaros, Janet Fenton, John Hale, Mark Tredinnick, Don Knowler and Louse Oxley.
This beautiful book was a two-year collective effort on the part of many volunteers associated with the Bruny Island Environmental Network (BIEN). They have created a lasting celebration of Bruny Island birdlife and highlighted the need to ensure the future of the island’s wide range of micro-climates and habitats that support abundant and diverse birdlife. Proceeds from sales will be used to fund conservation and environmental education activities on the island and Forty South Publishing is proud to have collaborated with the BIEN in the production of such a worthwhile venture.
“ I thoroughly recommend Birdsong for anyone looking forward to morning tea with a delightful collage of bird art, photographs, poetry and prose." Bob Brown
